His Story
A prince of the imperial clan, outside the Jia orbit until the end of it. In Chapter 105 he comes to the Rongguo mansion with the Embroidered Jackets Guard to carry out the confiscation. The officer beside him is eager for the work; the prince is not. He keeps the search inside its warrant and speaks to Jia Zheng with courtesy. Jia She is stripped of rank and property. The prince’s restraint is the only mercy in the chapter.
In Xiang Li's Hands
Camel and grey, and almost nothing else. A gold dragon badge and a jewelled belt plaque carry the entire rank; the face above the greying beard is turned aside, unhurried. Both hands stay inside the sleeves. She gives the man conducting a confiscation no hands at all.
The Calligraphy
The inscription shortens 西平郡王 to 西平王, dropping the grade of the title and leaving only the fief and the princely rank.
