晉穆帝
简体 晋穆帝
“Under him the Jin briefly held Sichuan again”
Emperor at one, under his mother's regency for the whole of a seventeen-year reign. Huan Wen's expedition took Chengdu from the Cheng-Han in 347 and pushed north as far as Chang'an — the high-water mark of Eastern Jin reconquest, and the making of the general who would later depose an emperor.
Everything the reign achieved strengthened Huan Wen rather than the throne.
His empress was He Fani, married at fourteen, widowed at eighteen, and alive in the palace for forty-three more years.
