Emperador Kang de Jin

Brother of Emperor Cheng, on the throne for two years and dead at twenty-two. What his reign is remembered for is his wife: Chu Suanzi became regent for their infant son and served, on and off, as the court's regent through six reigns across forty years.

She was called back to the regency each time a boy or an invalid inherited, which in the Eastern Jin was most of the time, and she is the only woman in the dynasty whose signature carried the state.
