宋孝宗
太祖的第七代後裔，因高宗唯一的兒子去世而被收養。他復興了岳飛，清除了腐敗，降低了稅收，並試了一次北方戰役，在幾個月內失敗。他其後的二十七年在極好地治理南方度過。

A seventh-generation descendant of Taizu, adopted because Gaozong's only son had died. He rehabilitated Yue Fei, cleaned out the corruption, cut taxes, and tried one northern campaign that failed within months. The rest of his twenty-seven years were spent governing the south extremely well.
He abdicated to care for his retired predecessor, which tells you most of what the histories think of him.
Three of his empresses — Guo, Xia and Xie — are on one silk.
