Guo Wei's adopted son and the man who did the work the Song took credit for: the army reorganised, the Buddhist establishment taxed, the Huai valley taken from the Southern Tang, and the first campaign against the Khitan for the lost prefectures. He fell ill on that campaign and died at thirty-eight, leaving a six-year-old heir.
Six months later his own commander Zhao Kuangyin was draped in a yellow robe by his troops and founded the Song.
The Later Zhou empresses — three sisters of the Fu family and Empress Chai — are on one silk.
