Art Reception: Xiang Li Art’s Chinese Empresses at Wellesley Free Library

The Xiang Li art exhibition will be on view at the Wellesley Free Library for the entire month of July 2026.

The main exhibition and opening reception will be held inside the Wakelin Room, featuring Xiang Li’s renowned Chinese Empresses Collection alongside selected works from her other series. Additional paintings by Xiang Li will also be on display in the library waiting area, located just inside the main entrance (first room on the left).

Light refreshments will be served.

This is a welcoming, conversational evening designed for all ages and backgrounds—whether you’re new to Xiang Li’s work or returning to see new pieces and hear the stories behind them.

The exhibition is free and open to the public and can be visited throughout July during the library’s regular opening hours. Even if you can’t attend the reception, the show will be on view all month, and visitors are encouraged to stop by and explore the artwork at their own pace.
